Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
Q: What is Moondraft?
A: Moondraft is a decentralized platform for creating, launching, and managing tokens on multiple blockchains including Solana and Ethereum. It provides user-friendly tools for token creation, liquidity management, and DeFi interactions.
Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: No! Moondraft is completely non-custodial. You only need to connect a compatible wallet to get started. Your wallet serves as your identity on the platform.
Q: What wallets are supported?
A: Moondraft supports popular wallets including Phantom, Solflare, MetaMask, Backpack, and hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor. See our Wallets documentation for full details.
Token Creation & Management
Q: How much does it cost to create a token?
A: Token creation costs vary by blockchain network fees. On Solana, expect to pay around 0.1-0.5 SOL, while Ethereum costs depend on current gas prices (typically $50-200).
Q: Can I edit my token after creation?
A: Some token parameters can be modified after creation, such as metadata and certain permissions. However, core parameters like total supply are typically immutable once deployed.
Q: What's the difference between creating a token on Solana vs Ethereum?
A: Solana offers faster transactions and lower fees, while Ethereum has broader DeFi ecosystem compatibility. Choose based on your target audience and use case.
Trading & Liquidity
Q: How do I add liquidity to my token?
A: After creating your token, use the liquidity management tools to create trading pairs and provide initial liquidity. This enables others to trade your token on decentralized exchanges.
Q: What is slippage and how should I set it?
A: Slippage is the difference between expected and actual trade prices. For most trades, 1-2% slippage is adequate. For newer or low-liquidity tokens, you may need higher slippage (5-10%).
Q: Why did my transaction fail?
A: Common reasons include insufficient gas fees, network congestion, slippage too low, or insufficient token balance. Check your wallet balance and try increasing gas price or slippage.
Security & Safety
Q: How do I keep my funds safe?
A: Never share your seed phrase, always verify transaction details before signing, use hardware wallets for large amounts, and be cautious of phishing attempts. See our Security guide.
Q: What should I do if I suspect a scam token?
A: Do not interact with suspicious tokens. Research the project thoroughly, check for verified social media presence, audit reports, and community feedback before trading.
Common Issues & Solutions
Wallet Connection Problems
Issue: Wallet not connecting or not appearing in options
Solutions:
- Ensure wallet extension is installed and unlocked

- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Try incognito/private browsing mode
- Disable other wallet extensions temporarily
Transaction Issues
Issue: Transactions failing or taking too long
Solutions:
- Check wallet balance for sufficient network fees
- Increase gas price during network congestion
- Wait for network congestion to reduce
- Try a different RPC endpoint if available
- Cancel and retry the transaction
Token Display Issues
Issue: Token not showing in wallet or incorrect balance
Solutions:
- Manually add token contract address to wallet
- Wait for blockchain synchronization
- Check transaction on blockchain explorer
- Refresh wallet or reconnect to Moondraft
